Awesome Dudes Awesome Hommus
October 8th 2008 22:18
Alright losers, this is my version of the famous dip Hommus.
Now authentic Hommus calls for the use of “tahina” a sesame seed paste, but you don’t have to put it in, you can if you want, say about a teaspoon.
Anyway this is what you need-
Can of chickpeas drained and rinsed 400gm
Juice of one lemon
Clove of garlic crushed
3 tablespoons of good olive oil
Salt n pepper
Sprinkle of paprika (you know a pinch)
What you do-
Some people like to soak there chickpeas or even boil them, I don’t, I just drain them, rinse them, then throw them in the blender (I have a mini food processer) with all the other ingredients and blend until its Hommus. Season, and serve with some flat bread lightly toasted. I like to put the dip in the fridge for an hour or so before serving.
Anyway great times...
Fun fact No61- Chickpeas are chicken poo.
