Awesome Dudes Awesome Ocean Trout

February 29th 2008 05:42
Here we are again; Awesome Dudes got another awesome recipe.
This one is for the ladies; I made this one the other night and decided to take a photo (because it was so awesome)

Now this is for the chicks that like to eat healthy, this is probably the healthiest thing that gets cooked in Awesome Dudes house. Mainly because Awesome Dude wants to stay in Awesome Chicks good books. (Awesome Chick is Awesome Dudes better half... aka “Boss”)

What you will need for Awesome Dudes Awesome Ocean Trout-

2 ocean trout fillets
Some broccoli
Some cauliflower
Couple of carrots
Extra virgin olive oil
Garlic granules
Dried coriander leaves... or fresh, up to you
Salt n pepper

Alright this is a “piece of piss”; all you have to do is preheat your oven to about 200C
Get two sheets of foil around 30cmsq or 40cmsq, who cares just big squares.
Now slap your ocean trout in the middle, one on each of course, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with the dried garlic granules and coriander leaves and then with the salt n pepper (lots of pepper)
Normally I would use thyme in this recipe in place of the coriander, but had no thyme... get it, no thyme...
Anyway, now wrap the foil around the ocean trout very loosely, now you want a little bit of air above the fish it should look like this-

Put it on a tray and straight into the oven for 18 minutes no more no less
Now the veggies, cut them up, throw them in a steamer or boiling water, it’s up to you.
(you could also serve the fish with a salad in place of the hot veg)

Done.

Now serve.

Fun fact No34- Awesome Dude really is awesome.

I usually just cook the fish in a pan -- I'll definitely be trying the foil -- sounds like a good way to keep all the flavour in. Awesome!

heres a tip, once you've got the fish out of the foil there is normally some juices left in the foil, i like to pour this over the fish,

Awesome dude
