Awesome Dudes Awesome Tzaziki
October 28th 2008 01:32
Alright people here is another dip, this is my version of the famous dip/sauce “Tzaziki”
Now basically tzaziki is yoghurt, cucumber and garlic, combined in a bowl. There is also some salt and pepper olive oil and maybe some lemon. In some tzaziki recipes it calls for you to drain the yoghurt, so it becomes a little thicker. I don’t do that because I’m too lazy, so here is my awesome version.
What you need-
About 300ml of natural yoghurt
One Lebanese Cucumber peeled and deseeded using a teaspoon then chopped into little half cm cubes (with a knife)
2 cloves of garlic crushed
Salt n pepper
Couple of tablespoons of lemon juice
Couple of tablespoons of olive oil
What you do-
Combine in bowl. Put it in the fridge for half an hour.
Serve with toasted pita bread for dipping or have it on lamb kebabs (gyros, souvlaki). It really complements lamb well.
Fun fact No57- I shot the sheriff.
